Ben Davies drops out of Tottenham Hotspur's starting lineup to face Bournemouth through illness, with Son Heung-min coming in to replace the left-back.

Tottenham Hotspur are without a recognised left-back for today's visit of Bournemouth as Ben Davies misses out on selection through illness.

The Wales international played twice for his country over the international break, but he is not included in the Lilywhites' 18-man squad this afternoon.

Son Heung-min replaces Davies in the starting lineup in the only change from the 4-0 win against Huddersfield Town a fortnight ago, with Serge Aurier among the subs after serving a one-match ban.

In terms of the visitors, manager Eddie Howe has made two alterations from the goalless draw with Leicester City, bringing in Steve Cook and Dan Gosling for Marc Pugh and Jermain Defoe.

Bournemouth will therefore go with an altered formation, likely including five men across the backline for the trip to Wembley Stadium.

Junior Stanislas will spearhead a midfield diamond, while Joshua King has recovered from a minor hamstring complaint picked up for Norway to lead the line.

The Cherries are today aiming to avoid losing four successive away games at the start of a league season for the first time since 1994-95.

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris; Trippier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen; Dier, Winks; Eriksen, Dele, Son; Kane
Subs: Vorm, Aurier, Foyth, Walkers-Peters, Sissoko, Nkoudou, Llorente

Bournemouth: Begovic; Smith, Francis, Cook, Ake, Daniels; Cook, Surman, Gosling; Stanislas, King
Subs: Boruc, Arter, Pugh, Ibe, Mousset, Defoe, Afobe
