David Wagner acknowledges that Huddersfield Town were "beaten by quality", having struggled to compete in their 2-0 defeat away at Tottenham Hotspur.

Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner has conceded that he can have no complaints following his side's 2-0 loss at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Terriers were comfortably beaten at Wembley Stadium following a couple of goals from Son Heung-min, leaving them deep in relegation trouble with nine games to play.

Wagner's men were behind with a little under half an hour played and never truly looked like recovering, with the German admitting to reporters at full time that his team were simply outclassed on the day.

"We got beaten by quality," he said. "There's no doubt they were the better team and it was a deserved defeat even though in the second half we tried what we were able to do, but we got beaten by quality, that's something we have to accept.

"We have said this before, and I think everybody is able to leave with their heads up and we will prepare for a very exciting game which we have next at our fortress of the John Smith's Stadium [against Swansea City next Saturday]."

Huddersfield have now lost six of their last eight games and have two wins from their last 11 since mid-December.
