In-form Tottenham Hotspur travelled to Everton on Sunday knowing that a win at Goodison Park would further strengthen their grip on fourth spot in the Premier League table.
Spurs dominated the first half on Merseyside, but it was Everton that took the lead in the 22nd minute when Aaron Lennon found the top corner against his former club.
The visitors managed to level in the latter stages of the first period, however, when Dele Alli collected a long pass from Toby Alderweireld before finishing from close range.
Both teams had chances to win it in the second period, but the points were shared in what was an entertaining game on Merseyside.
