Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Thursday's Europa Conference League clash with Rennes.

Since this article was published, this game has been called off due to a coronavirus outbreak in the Spurs squad. A new date for the game will be confirmed in due course.

Tottenham Hotspur's preparations for Thursday's Europa Conference League tie with Rennes have been thrown into disarray amid reports of a coronavirus outbreak decimating the squad.

As many as seven players and two members of staff are reported to have tested positive for COVID-19, but the identities of the affected are not known at this moment in time.

Emerson Royal and Bryan Gil are thought to be two of the positive players after 'illness' ruled the pair out of the win over Norwich City, while Sergio Reguilon, Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso are injured.

With Reguilon possibly missing out and Ryan Sessegnon banned for his red card against NS Mura, Ben Davies will likely shift to a left wing-back role for Thursday.

Assuming that Antonio Conte will have most of his first-choice XI available, the Spurs coach is likely to go strong, with Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez starting in defence once more.

Pierluigi Gollini could earn a start in goal over Hugo Lloris, though, while Japhet Tanganga will likely take advantage of Emerson's absence if he is not one of the COVID-affected players.

The likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are also in line to feature, with the full extent of Spurs' coronavirus outbreak potentially becoming clearer in the next 24 hours.

Spurs possible starting lineup: Gollini; Sanchez, Dier, Rodon; Tanganga, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Davies; Lucas, Kane, Son
