Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino admits that his first-team squad have an opportunity to be remembered as one of the best teams in the club's history.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has said that he is trying not to think about "the consequences" of progressing past Juventus in the Champions League.

Spurs head into the second leg of the last-16 tie with a slender advantage having secured a 2-2 draw in Turin last month, with the North Londoners having the chance to reach the quarter-finals for just the second time in their history.

However, Pochettino is keen to keep his team in the present, claiming that they cannot afford to get ahead of themselves when hosting last season's runners-up.

At a press conference, the 45-year-old told reporters: "I think we have a very good opportunity but in football you need to earn things. Tomorrow we are going to face one of the best teams in the world and in history.

"The last three years they have played two finals and it will be a fantastic battle but I am only thinking about tomorrow. We must not think too much about the consequences of the result."

Spurs have put together a 17-match unbeaten streak in all competitions.
