Group G leaders Spain welcomed Israel to Gijon on Friday night for their 2018 World Cup qualification fixture.
The home side took a 2-0 lead into the half-time break courtesy of goals from David Silva and Vitolo.
Diego Costa then scored Spain's third early in the second period to wrap up all three points, although Israel had a consolation late on through Lior Refaelov, before Isco netted a fourth for the hosts.
