Anna Signeul extends Scotland deal

Scotland's women's national football coach Anna Signeul signs a new two-year contract.

Anna Signeul has agreed a new two-year deal to remain in charge of Scotland's women's national football team.

The 53-year-old, who has been in the job since replacing Dutchwoman Vera Pauw in 2005, has extended her contract to the end of the Euro 2017 qualifiers.

"I think we are developing on all levels all the time and I really like my job," Signeul told Sky Sports News.

"When I look at the squad now - 10 years into the job - I feel really proud of what we have achieved in these 10 years."

Signeul was shortlisted for the FIFA World Coach of the Year for Women's Football in 2013, and last year led Scotland into their first Women's World Cup playoff.
