Neither side have been able to break the deadlock in the opening 45 minutes of the Bundesliga clash between Schalke 04 and Hannover.
The home side were the first to threaten when Leroy Sane met a cross from the left and powered a header at goal, but his effort went wide of the post.
Schalke came close to going ahead in the 27th minute as Sane fed the run of Max Meyer with a through-ball, but the midfielder could only strike his effort wide of the target.
Meyer got in behind the Hannover defence again when he latched on to a ball over the top, but his goalbound strike was blocked by Christian Schulz.
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar had a great opportunity to put his side ahead after getting in between two defenders to power Sascha Riether's cross at goal, only to put his effort over the bar.
