Russia manager Stanislav Cherchesov has said that his side need to "forget" Thursday afternoon's thrashing of Saudi Arabia ahead of their next Group A tie with Egypt.
Substitute Denis Cheryshev netted either side of the break as the hosts defeated their opponents 5-0 in Moscow in the World Cup's opening game.
Cherchesov, however, told reporters after the game that he is aware of the threat Egypt face ahead of the meeting with the Pharaohs on Tuesday.
"I don't think there's a danger of [my players becoming overconfident], we know why we're here," the 54-year-old said. "We went for a walk before the game and we talked about how this tournament is just the beginning.
"OK, we won 5-0 and we got three points but it could have been a draw and only a point - we would still have to get out of the group.
"We won our first game at [last summer's] Confederations Cup and it didn't take us too far. So we're on the right track but we should turn the page and forget this game."
Egypt, meanwhile, face Uruguay in the other Group A game on Friday afternoon.
