Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo return as Real Madrid host Atletico Madrid.

Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo have all returned to the fold as Real Madrid welcome Atletico Madrid to the Bernabeu this afternoon.

Overall, Zinedine Zidane makes seven changes to the weakened side that saw out a comfortable 4-2 victory at Leganes in midweek, with BBC replacing Lucas Vazquez, Alvaro Morata and Marco Asensio on the frontline.

Casemiro keeps his place in midfield, where he is joined by the returning Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, while Dani Carvajal and Pepe return to the backline alongside Marcelo and skipper Sergio Ramos.

Options on the bench include James Rodriguez, Isco, Vazquez and Alvaro Morata.

For Atletico, meanwhile, Diego Simeone sticks with the starting XI that defeated Real Sociedad by a one-goal margin on Tuesday night, with Fernando Torres and Antoine Griezmann on the frontline of a 4-4-2 formation.

Gabi, Saul Niguez, Koke and Yannick Carrasco patrol the middle of the park, while Juanfran, Stefan Savic, Diego Godin and Filipe Luis make up the back four ahead of Jan Oblak between the sticks.

Real Madrid: Navas; Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo; Kroos, Casemiro, Modric; Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo
Subs: Casilla, Nacho, James Rodriguez, Kovacic, Vazquez, Morata, Isco

Atletico Madrid: Oblak; Juanfran, Godin, Savic, Filipe Luis; Gabi, Koke, Saul Niguez, Carrasco; Griezmann, Torres
