Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Sevilla

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's La Liga clash with Sevilla.

Real Madrid will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to 17 matches when they face Sevilla at the Bernabeu on Saturday.

Madrid are currently second in La Liga on goal difference to Barcelona, with city rivals Atletico Madrid a further five points back in third.

Zinedine Zidane's side won their first trophy of his second spell in charge on Sunday when they beat Atletico on penalties to win the Supercopa de Espana.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Sevilla.

Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: January 26 (vs. Real Valladolid)

Eden Hazard is closing in on a return to first team action after he suffered a hairline fracture to his foot. The Sevilla game on Saturday will just come too early, but he could return for Madrid's following fixture at Real Valladolid.

Possible return date: February 29 (vs. Barcelona)

Talented winger Marco Asensio has been out all season after rupturing his cruciate ligament in July last year. However, the Spain international is now closing in on a return and could play some part in Madrid's match against Barcelona at the start of March.

Karim Benzema
