Rangers will be looking to break an all-time Europa League record when they lock horns with Eintracht Frankfurt in the final on Wednesday night.

For the first time since 2008, the Gers will be competing in a major European final, and success in Seville would see them clinch continental silverware for just the second time in their history, after lifting the European Cup Winners' Cup back in 1971-72.

After finishing second in Group A, Rangers have since enjoyed a magical road to the final, including impressive victories against German duo Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, beating the latter over two legs in the semi-finals.

Should the Gers go on to lift the Europa League trophy, they would become the first team in the competition's history to eliminate three clubs from the same nation in a single campaign.

Victory for the Glaswegian giants would also see Giovanni van Bronckhorst become the first Dutch manager to lift the UEFA Cup/Europa League trophy since Dick Advocaat in 2008, who defeated Rangers when in charge of Zenit St Petersburg.

Rangers head into Wednesday's showpiece event as slight underdogs as they face a Frankfurt outfit who have not lost any of their 12 Europa League matches leading up to this season's final.
