Paris Saint-Germain book their spot in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue with a 1-0 win over Saint-Etienne.

Edinson Cavani's 86th-minute strike saw Paris Saint-Germain book their spot in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue at the expense of Saint-Etienne this evening.

The home side dominated throughout, but despite hitting a post early on through Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Saint-Etienne held firm for long stages of the clash in Paris.

The game turned with a couple of substitutions, however, with Angel di Maria setting up Cavani, who slotted home from close range late on, to book PSG's spot in the last eight.

The visitors struggled to threaten during what was a close affair, only managing two attempts on target at the home of the French champions.

Elsewhere, Bordeaux, Marseille and Lyon were all victorious in the competition to continue their respective campaigns.
