The sides sides met at the Parc des Princes in the last 32 stage of the competition.
In an entertaining game, Montpellier pulled off a shock victory to PSG's hopes of winning the quadruple.

32 minMISS! Wow. Just minutes after scoring the leveller, Cavani misses an absolute sitter. A frantic bit of pinball on the edge of the box sees the ball fall to Lucas on the right. He smacks a low shot across goal that beats Pionnier but falls to Cavani. The striker has an empty net to tap the ball into, but somehow scuffs it wide. That is one of the worst misses I've ever seen.
30 minEqualiser! It's controversial though, as Digne squares it from the left for a Cavani tap in, but the striker was in an offside position when he scored. After Digne's earlier goal was chalked off incorrectly though, justice is served you could say.

They have a free kick on the right of the PSG half, and Tiene crosses it in to the far post. Douchez comes to collect it, but the goalkeeper makes a complete hash of it and allows Congre to head the ball into an empty net. Scenes.

That victory came after they defeated Racing Club de Paris 2-0 in the final at the Parc des Princes, with a certain Laurent Blanc scoring one of the goals.
