The Spanish Football Federation is fined by FIFA for breaching rules in relation to the transfer of Under-18 players.

FIFA has fined the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for breaching rules in relation to the transfer of Under-18 players.

As well as being ordered to pay £181,000, the federation has been issued with a warning and a six-month deadline to ensure that their systems meet regulations.

A statement from FIFA read: "In this respect, the RFEF was sanctioned with a fine of CHF 220,000 and granted an additional deadline of six months in order to regularise its relevant regulatory framework and the existing system concerning the international transfer of minors in football within the country.

"In addition, the RFEF was issued with a warning and a reprimand in accordance with articles 13 and 14 of the FIFA disciplinary code."

The punishment follows the ban imposed on Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid that prevents the clubs from registering players for two transfer windows.
