Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how the Netherlands could line up for Saturday's international friendly with Denmark.

The Netherlands should welcome a new face in between the sticks for Saturday's friendly battle with Denmark at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam.

Freiburg's Mark Flekken has enjoyed a stellar Bundesliga campaign and is seemingly set to earn his first cap for the team in goal, with Jasper Cillessen and Justin Bijlow both unavailable.

Stefan De Vrij, Ryan Gravenberch and Donny van de Beek are other notable absentees from Louis van Gaal's squad, while Cody Gakpo, Jurrien Timber and Jordan Teze have all been forced to withdraw too.

Matthijs de Ligt and Virgil van Dijk are both fit and ready to form a formidable backline for the hosts, as Daley Blind and Denzel Dumfries also provide protection to new boy Flekken.

Georginio Wijnaldum has endured a tough time of things at Paris Saint-Germain so far this season, but the skipper is in no danger of losing his place alongside Frenkie de Jong and Davy Klaassen.

Steven Bergwijn found the back of the net in the Netherlands' most recent game with Norway, but the attacker's lack of game time at Tottenham Hotspur could tempt Van Gaal into calling upon Steven Berghuis alongside Memphis Depay and Arnaut Danjuma instead.

Netherlands possible starting lineup: Flekken; Dumfries, De Ligt, Van Dijk, Blind; Wijnaldum, De Jong, Klaassen; Berghuis, Depay, Danjuma
