Marseille have announced that they have sacked Patrice Evra for kicking a club supporter last week.
Ahead of the Europa League tie with Vitoria Guimaraes, Evra got into an argument with a travelling fan before a kick was aimed at the supporter.
Marseille initially suspended Evra while an investigation was carried out, but UEFA's decision to ban Evra from all UEFA matches until June 30 has led to the player having his contract terminated with immediate effect.
