Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly planning a loan move for Manchester United striker James Wilson.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly identified Manchester United striker James Wilson as one of their summer targets.

Since bursting onto the scene with United, Wilson has attracted the attention of a number of Championship clubs, with the 20-year-old spending the final six months of last season at Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, according to the Express & Star, Wolves are keen to follow up previous interest in the England Under-21 international by acquiring his services on loan for next season.

While it has been suggested that United do not want to sell Wilson, they are happy for the forward to gain further experience at the second tier after he made just 13 starts during his time at the Amex Stadium.

Wilson has scored four times for United, with all but six of his 20 appearances coming from the bench.
