Tottenham Hotspur will not sell Danny Rose this summer despite his controversial interview with The Sun, it has been reported.

Tottenham Hotspur have no intention of selling Danny Rose this summer, according to reports.

The 27-year-old gave a controversial interview to The Sun on the eve of the new Premier League season, where he appeared to criticise the club's lack of activity in the transfer market and stringent wage structure.

Rose, who also suggested that he would be open to a move away from White Hart Lane, went on to issue a full apology for the interview, admitting that his comments were "ill-judged" and apologised for any 'offence'.

However, rumours persist as to whether he will in fact leave the club, and it has been suggested that Chelsea and Manchester United are his preferred destinations, but according to the Daily Mail, the club do not intend to part ways with the player during the current window.

Rose has not played for Spurs since January due to a long-term knee injury but is closing in on a return to first-team action.
