Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to join Liverpool and Manchester United in the race to sign Lille defender Sven Botman.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Lille defender Sven Botman as a potential summer transfer target.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed an excellent campaign at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, making 37 starts as Lille edged out Paris Saint-Germain for the Ligue 1 title.

However, at a time when manager Christophe Galtier is leaving the club, at least one of the team's star players are expected to be sold during the next window.

According to L'Equipe, Spurs are ready to join Liverpool and Manchester United in the race to sign the Dutch centre-back.

While Spurs are currently attempting to retain the services of Harry Kane, whoever replaces Jose Mourinho in the dugout will feel that it is necessary to make a number of additions in defence.

Having only signed for Lille last year, Botman still has four years remaining on his contract.
