Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly reconsiders his decision to leave the Bernabeu due to the public support of club president Florentino Perez.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly considering staying at the Bernabeu after club president Florentino Perez publicly issued his support.

It has been widely reported that the four-time Ballon d'Or winner wants to cut ties with the Spanish giants after eight years due to allegations that he has committed tax fraud.

Ronaldo, who joined Los Blancos from Manchester United for a then-world record £80m fee in 2009, has vehemently denied claims that he defrauded the tax authorities of £12.9m.

It was rumoured that the 32-year-old was desperate for a return to United, but now reports in Spain state that Perez's interview on Onda Cera insisting that he wants Ronaldo to stay has made him rethink his future.

The Real president plans to speak to Ronaldo after the Confederations Cup.
