Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba says that he 'dreams' of joining Real Madrid when questioned on the Spanish giants.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has said that he 'dreams' of joining Real Madrid.

The France international was widely expected to leave Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window, but the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak meant that neither Madrid nor Juventus could afford to sign the World Cup winner.

The 27-year-old has been a key player for the Red Devils since recovering from an ankle injury earlier this year, but there remains uncertainty surrounding his future with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

When questioned on a possible move to the Bernabeu to play under fellow Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, Pogba revealed that he would welcome a move to Los Blancos at some stage in the future.

"Zidane? We all heard it, things were said. My reply? Yes, every football player would like to play at Real Madrid. It may be a dream. It's a dream for me, why not one day," Pogba told RMC Sport.

"As I said, I'm in Manchester and I love my club. I'm performing in Manchester, I'm enjoying myself and I want to do everything to put the club back where it deserves to be. I'll give my all, just like my teammates."

Pogba's existing deal with United is due to expire next summer, although the 20-time English champions have the option of activating a further 12 months.
