Jose Mourinho "in the dark" over Paul Pogba future

Jose Mourinho insists that he has never once been told that Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United, as questions continue to be asked of the midfielder's future.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has admitted that he is "in the dark" over controversial agent Mino Raiola's plans for midfielder Paul Pogba.

Amid rumoured interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona, the France international has sent out mixed messages regarding his future at Old Trafford.

Asked about talk of a switch to La Liga while away on international duty, Pogba simply replied: "Who knows what will happen in the future".

Agent Raiola, meanwhile, has suggested that his client's future may lie away from Manchester, but Mourinho insists that he has never once been told that the midfielder wants out.

"If Pogba doesn't tell me he wants to leave, it's because he wants to stay," he told reporters. "That is my conclusion. If I watch Mr Raiola on the screen saying the player wants to leave, and that he is organising a way for him to try to leave, then I will believe it.

"At this moment, I am in the dark. The only thing that is clear is the player - never in all these days we were together - has never told me he wants to leave. Paul came back after the World Cup the week before we started the Premier League.

"We are together two months or so. He never told me he wants to leave. Never. You have to ask him about his future. As a manager, I tell you the truth. That's his problem, his relations with the media. I am not going to comment."

Pogba has started all four of Man United's Premier League games this season and is in line to feature against Watford on Saturday evening.
