Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Jake Turner.

The 18-year-old, who has only just signed a professional contract at Bolton, is yet to make a senior appearance for the Trotters, but was named on their bench last season.

According to The Sun, Man United boss Jose Mourinho has been made aware of the teenager's potential, and the 20-time English champions see the stopper as a potential future number one.

The report adds that Bolton are desperate to keep hold of the Englishman, but would not be in a position to turn down a sizeable offer as they bid to compete financially in the Championship following their promotion from League One.

David de Gea, Sergio Romero and Joel Pereira are currently Man United's first-team goalkeepers, and all three have featured on the club's pre-season tour of the United States.
