Chelsea are now unlikely to complete the signing of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland this summer, according to a report.

Chelsea are now unlikely to complete the signing of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland this summer, according to a report.

The 20-year-old Norwegian has become one of the world's most sought-after strikers, with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona also monitoring his situation.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Dortmund do not want to sell Haaland this summer, after allowing Jadon Sancho to complete his £73m move to Manchester United.

The report also states that Haaland's agent Mino Raiola is asking for around £34.2m in commission as part of any deal that would see the striker depart the German outfit.

Thomas Tuchel is keen to recruit a new number nine this summer and although Haaland remains his number one target, the Blues have identified Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku as possible alternatives.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich – who spent over £200m in last summer's transfer window on the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell – is set to provide more funds for Tuchel to help strengthen his squad further.

Haaland made 41 appearances across all competitions for Dortmund during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring 41 goals and providing 12 assists.
