Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly put off a move for Joao Felix by the £8m loan fee that Atletico Madrid would require to allow the forward to leave.

The £8m loan fee that Atletico Madrid would require to allow Joao Felix to leave is reportedly a major stumbling block for any potential move by Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United.

Arsenal and Chelsea are in need of attacking reinforcements after the loss of Gabriel Jesus and Armando Broja to long-term injuries, whereas the Red Devils are yet to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

TalkSPORT reports that the excessive loan fee will be a huge restriction for clubs that are interested in the 23-year-old.

A host of the Premier League's biggest clubs have been linked with a move for Felix, but the report claims that they are unwilling to pay such a significant fee just to have him on a temporary basis.

The Portugal international has fallen out of favour at the Wanda Metropolitano but Diego Simeone has rubbished reports of a falling out between the pair.

The former Benfica man has five goals and five assists in 23 matches in all competitions so far this season, including three contributions at the World Cup.
