Paris Saint-Germain chief Leonardo denies reports that the club has been in contact with Zinedine Zidane and suggests that Mauricio Pochettino will stay beyond the summer.

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has denied reports that the club has been in contact with Zinedine Zidane, hinting that current boss Mauricio Pochettino could stay beyond the end of the current season.

Pochettino has been heavily linked with an exit from the Parc des Princes this summer amid claims that his relationship with members of the PSG hierarchy has deteriorated over the course of his tenure.

Previous speculation has claimed that the Argentine's future could depend on whether PSG win the Champions League this season, while Manchester United are thought to have identified him as their number one choice to be their next permanent manager.

Former Real Madrid boss Zidane is the favourite to succeed Pochettino should there be a managerial change in the French capital, but Leonardo insists that he has not spoken to the Frenchman.

"We've never thought about changing our manager. We've never contacted Zidane or anyone," Leonardo told L'Equipe.

"I can say that Mauricio Pochettino has never asked to leave. I have no problem with him. We talk about everything."

PSG currently sit 15 points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table and have a 1-0 lead over Real Madrid at the halfway stage of their Champions League last-16 tie.
