Jose Mourinho reportedly opens talks with Paris Saint-Germain, forcing Manchester United to make a decision.

Jose Mourinho and Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly begun discussions about the Portuguese coach potentially replacing Laurent Blanc as manager this summer.

The former Chelsea boss, who was sacked by the club in December last year, has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in the last few months.

There are conflicting reports about the situation, with some stating that a deal between Mourinho and United has been verbally agreed, while others have claimed that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is keen to let current manager Louis van Gaal see out his contract, which expires in the summer of 2017.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, United could be forced into making a decision quickly as Mourinho has opened talks with PSG.

The report adds that the former Real Madrid manager wants to take the reins at Old Trafford, but is equally open to taking charge at Parc des Princes.

The feeling is that United will miss out on hiring Mourinho if they do not make a decision soon regarding the future of Van Gaal, who has failed to guide the team into the Champions League spots this season.

The team have been criticised for their performances, but they could still end the campaign with silverware as they are in the FA Cup final this weekend.

United will end their Premier League season two days after their opponents after their scheduled game against Bournemouth on Sunday was abandoned when a fake bomb was discovered at Old Trafford.
