Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has insisted that he is not currently thinking about the possibility of becoming the club's permanent manager.
The German has an impressive record since replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm, winning eight, drawing eight and losing just one of his 17 matches in charge.
As it stands, Rangnick is set to step aside for a new manager this summer, with the 63-year-old expected to take on a two-year consultancy role at Old Trafford.
However, there have been suggestions that the German will be considered for the permanent position if the team enjoy a successful end to the 2021-22 campaign.
Speaking ahead of Sunday's Manchester derby with Manchester City, Rangnick insisted that he is not currently giving any thought to his position at the club on a long-term basis.
"I haven't made any thoughts about that because my focus is on Sunday and then on Tottenham [Hotspur] and then Atletico [Madrid]. There is no time for me to think about that," Rangnick told reporters.
Man United are preparing for four huge matches in quick succession, taking on Man City, Tottenham and Liverpool in their next three league fixtures, in addition to welcoming Atletico to Old Trafford for the second leg of their last-16 Champions League contest.
