Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will grant Zlatan Ibrahimovic an extended rest ahead of next Saturday's derby match against Manchester City.
The 34-year-old has made a flying start to his time in England, scoring four goals in as many games for the Red Devils to help them make a perfect start to the season.
Ibrahimovic will not be in action during the current international break following his decision to retire from Sweden duty after Euro 2016, and Mourinho will now give the striker double the rest period that the other players receive.
"I give the other guys, who are not selected for the national teams, two days off. And I give four days to Zlatan. At 34 years old, you need to rest," he told the club's official website.
Mourinho also revealed that three of his players, including Antonio Valencia, will not return to the club until the day before the derby against City.
