Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera hails the number of game-changers in the side, reserving special praise for Paul Pogba.

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has praised the game-changing qualities of teammate Paul Pogba following his goal against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

The world's most expensive player opened the scoring at Selhurst Park before Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted a late winner in the 2-1 triumph, handing United back-to-back league wins for the first time since August.

Herrera reserved special praise for Pogba after the game, but also believes that United have a number of players who can come up with match-winning contributions.

"Pogba is Pogba and other midfielders are different. We know Paul can change a game in one second. He has an unbelievable shot, he can head the ball, he can combine near the box and create something. I don't like to compare, I just say that Paul is a top player and can change a game in one second but we are lucky because we don't only have Paul who can do that," he told reporters.

"I am so optimistic because we are in a very good moment and we really believe that we deserve to win games because we are working so hard. When you have top players, they can (win a game). They don't need to play their best game to change it. That is where we have Paul, Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata, Anthony Martial, Ibrahimovic, top players who can change the game even when they are not playing their best.

"That is fantastic for us, but I want to speak about our spirit, we controlled the game on a day when we didn't play our best and that is important for us. In a long season like this, when you win not on your best day it is very important, it is the history of this club."

United could move to within three points of the top four for 24 hours at least with victory over West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Saturday evening.
