Arjen Robben says that he expects Netherlands teammate Memphis Depay to leave Manchester United during the January transfer window.

Arjen Robben has said that he expects Manchester United winger Memphis Depay to leave Old Trafford during the January transfer window.

Depay has failed to justify his £25m price-tag since signing for United in 2015, and it has been suggested that he will join Everton at the turn of the year.

Bayern Munich wideman Robben has backed up those reports by indicating that his Netherlands teammate needs to get more matches under his belt after barely featuring under Jose Mourinho.

The 32-year-old told Goal.com: "He is a very talented player. It's a pity it didn't work at Manchester until now. He's playing very few matches.

"I'm expecting something to happen next time, maybe he will make a move in the winter break."

Depay has scored seven goals from 28 starts and 25 substitute appearances for United in all competitions.
