Manchester United could welcome Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford back into their squad for Sunday's Premier League clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Manchester United could welcome three key important players back into their squad for Sunday's Premier League clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils will again be without the services of Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof and Willy Kambwala for the game against the Gunners.

Harry Maguire is also out with a muscular problem, while Anthony Martial is unlikely to be considered despite returning to training last week following a groin operation.

However, Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford could come back into contention for the Premier League game against Mikel Arteta's side.

Fernandes is believed to have missed out against Crystal Palace on Monday evening due to a wrist injury, with head coach Erik ten Hag revealing during his pre-match press conference that the Portugal international was a doubt for the contest due to a minor issue.

The 29-year-old is expected to be available for selection against Arsenal, though, as he was believed to be close to making the squad for the team's last match.

Fernandes has scored 15 goals and registered 11 assists in 45 appearances for Man United this season, including seven goals and two assists in his last eight league outings.

McTominay, meanwhile, picked up a knee injury in the latter stages of the team's 1-1 draw with Burnley on April 27, and he was also not involved against Palace last time out.

However, the Scotland international, who has 10 goals in 39 appearances for Man United this season, could make a timely return to the squad against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

A return for Rashford is also thought to be possible, with the Englishman bidding to overcome the problem which he suffered in the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City.

The 26-year-old was seen limping after the clash with Coventry, and he has missed his side's last three league games against Sheffield United, Burnley and Palace.

Rashford will be bidding to return to training this week with a view to making his comeback against Arsenal.

A difficult season has seen the forward only manage eight goals in 40 appearances in all competitions, but head coach Ten Hag will be desperate to have him available for this weekend's contest.

Man United are currently eighth in the Premier League table, two points behind sixth-placed Newcastle United, while Arsenal are top, one point above second-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
