Having developed a reputation as a clinical finisher during a nine-year spell with Aston Villa, Dwight Yorke further enhanced that status following his switch to Manchester United in 1998.

The Trinidad and Tobago international formed an instant partnership with Andy Cole up front for the Red Devils, and many still regard that duo as one of the best striking pairings in Premier League history.

Yorke had an immediate impact at Old Trafford, helping to fire the club to their famous treble during his debut season with 29 goals across all competitions.

That was the first of three consecutive Premier League titles for United during Yorke's time at the club, and his best-scoring league campaign came in 1999-2000 when he netted 20 times in just 32 games.

A rumoured fallout with Sir Alex Ferguson ultimately spelled the end of his time at United after four years, during which time he scored 65 goals in 147 appearances, including 48 in 92 Premier League outings.
