Another player who made a big impression at Manchester United in a relatively short period of time, Robin van Persie was largely responsible for firing the club to their most recent Premier League title in 2013.

The Dutch striker scored 26 goals in 38 games during Sir Alex Ferguson's final season at the helm and his first season at the club, and fittingly helped himself to a hat-trick against Aston Villa to clinch the title with four games to spare.

That was as good as it got for Van Persie at Old Trafford, with his last two campaigns at the club being hampered by injury before he was allowed to join Fenerbahce in 2015.

Even so, the former Arsenal man had made his mark at United with 48 goals in just 86 Premier League appearances following his controversial switch from the Emirates Stadium.
