Sergio Aguero is back in the fold as Manchester City welcome Burnley to the Etihad.

Sergio Aguero is back in the fold as Manchester City welcome Burnley to the Etihad this afternoon.

The striker has been an unused substitute for City's last two games after he suffered a broken rib in the international break but is back up front this afternoon as he looks to equalise - and even better - the club's goalscoring record.

Bernardo Silva also works his way into the starting XI, having come off the bench to add gloss in the 7-2 demolition of Stoke City last time out.

Leroy Sane continues up front alongside Silva and Aguero as Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus drop to the bench.

After tinkering with his frontline, Pep Guardiola names an otherwise-unchanged lineup from that win over the Potters, with playmaker Kevin De Bruyne leading the midfield alongside David Silva and Fernandinho.

Kyle Walker, John Stones, Nicolas Otamendi and Fabian Delph make up the back four ahead of Ederson between the sticks.

As for Burnley, Sean Dyche keeps faith with the XI that claimed a late draw at West Ham United last Saturday as he looks to extend the side's impressive unbeaten away record this season.

That means Chris Wood continues to lead the line, with Scott Arfield, Jack Cork, Jeff Hendrick, Steven Defour and Robbie Brady making up the midfield.

Nick Pope is between the sticks, while Matthew Lowton, James Tarkowski, Ben Mee and Stephen Ward are in the defence.

Manchester City: Ederson; Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Delph; Fernandinho, D Silva, De Bruyne; B Silva, Sane, Aguero
Subs: Bravo, Danilo, Mangala, Sterling, Gundogan, Jesus, Toure

Burnley: Pope; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Ward; Arfield, Cork, Hendrick, Defour, Brady; Wood
Subs: Gudmundsson, Bardsley, Westwood, Long, Taylor, Barnes, Lindegaard
