Chelsea 'alerted to Napoli firesale'

Chelsea could supposedly swoop for a number of Napoli players if reports of a planned firesale are accurate.
Like many clubs across the globe, Napoli have been hit hard by the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic, but the Italian club's problems reportedly run deeper than a loss of matchday revenue.
Napoli players are supposedly now in their fourth month without pay, and several star names could be heading for the exit door as Gennaro Gattuso's side look to ease the strain on their finances.
As a result, football.london claim that Chelsea are sure to be in for some of Napoli's most-prized assets if the Serie A outfit do end up offloading a number of players in the wake of the ongoing outbreak.
The report suggests that attacking duo Hirving Lozano and Dries Mertens could both be on Frank Lampard's wishlist, while the Blues are sure to consider a move for the much-coveted defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
However, Chelsea would certainly have a fight on their hands to land the Senegal international, who has also been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City.
Napoli currently lie sixth in the Serie A table with five wins and three losses from their opening eight matches.
Dimitar Berbatov: 'Sergio Ramos would be a brilliant signing for Manchester United'

Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has claimed that Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos would be a brilliant signing for the 20-time English champions.
Ramos's existing deal at the Bernabeu is due to expire next June, and a recent report claimed that Los Blancos had still not offered the 34-year-old a new contract.
United are allegedly interested in signing the Spain international, and Berbatov is confident that "it would work out well" for both parties if the former Sevilla youngster joined Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
"There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Sergio Ramos - according to reports both the player and club are yet to come to an agreement on a new contract. With Ramos 34 years old, they are probably fighting over a one-year or two-year contract," Berbatov told Betfair.
"Thiago Silva, who is even older at 36 years old, has proven that it is never too late to move to the Premier League and so far it is working out well for the Brazilian.
"I'm sure if Ramos wanted to move to a club like United then it would work out well for him too. He's in great shape, he's still a world-class defender and in my opinion there's still a lot of football left in him.
"I see him as a Real Madrid player, however, and I think player and club will find a solution and he will stay. I'll be surprised if he leaves, but if things don't work out then I'm sure a lot of clubs will be interested in him."
Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also all allegedly interested in Ramos, who has scored 100 goals in 660 appearances for Madrid since 2005.
