Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Norwich City

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Norwich City.

Manchester City will aim to recover from their opening-day 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur when they return to the Etihad Stadium against Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola's men were nullified by a robust Tottenham defence on matchday one, as Son Heung-min scored the winner for Harry Kane-less Spurs in front of a raucous North London crowd.

The Premier League champions have already fallen one step behind Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool in the title race, but the visit of Norwich represents the ideal opportunity for Guardiola's men to get back on track.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man City's injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Phil Foden

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: September 11 (vs. Leicester City)

Phil Foden sustained a foot injury en route to the Euro 2020 final with England, and Guardiola affirmed earlier this month that the attacker would be out for a "while", effectively ruling him out of this game.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: August 21 (vs. Norwich City)

Guardiola revealed in his pre-match press conference that Kevin De Bruyne did not train on Friday morning due to a niggling ankle issue, leaving his participation on Saturday up in the air.

MAN CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

City have no players suspended for this match.
