Neil Warnock: 'Big-timers like Manchester City get away with it'

Warnock: 'Big-timers get away with it'
Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock blasts the behaviour of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola during the club's FA Cup defeat to Wigan Athletic.

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has blasted the behaviour of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola after the Spaniard complained to the referee during the club's FA Cup defeat to Wigan Athletic.

Guardiola was left furious after Anthony Taylor sent off Fabian Delph for a challenge on Max Power, and Warnock claimed that he would have been punished by the FA had he reacted in the same way.

"[Guardiola] gets away with it doesn't he?" the Bluebirds manager told talkSPORT. "He had a go at us and he has a go at everybody when things aren't going well for him. That's the nature of the game, the big-timers get away with it from the FA.

"You can't tell me, at our ground, if I'd have done what he did and said what he did to the fourth official I'd have got reported. Unfortunately that's life isn't it, the big lads get away with things and at the lower end you don't."

Will Grigg scored the winner late on in the second half, before Guardiola and Latics manager Paul Cook clashed in the tunnel at the end of the game.
