The 24-year-old, who scored five times and provided nine assists in La Liga last season, has become Malaga's second summer signing following the arrival of Keko from Eibar.

"Malaga confirm, after the arrival of Keko Gontan, their second signing for the 2016-17 campaign: Jony Rodriguez, another of the most coveted youngsters from the last Primera Division season," read a statement on the club's official website.

Jony spent two years in the Barcelona academy as a youth, but started his professional career at Oviedo, before spells with Marino, Getafe B, Aviles and Sporting B.
