John Henry dismisses claims that Liverpool will be sold to Chinese investors before Christmas.

Liverpool principal owner John Henry has rubbished claims by one reporter that the club could be sold by Christmas.

There have been several reports linking the Merseyside club with bids from Chinese investors, including China Everbright, who were rumoured to have bid £800m for the Reds.

Furthermore, talkSPORT reporter Ian Abrahams claimed that a deal for Liverpool could be completed as early as next week.

However, Abrahams's tweet prompted Henry to respond by saying: "Good that your sources will be debunked so soon."

Henry's Fenway Sports Group took control of Liverpool in 2011.
