Saturday's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup: Sergio Ramos, David Alaba

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Liverpool on Saturday, November 21.

The summer transfer window has now closed and attention will begin to turn to January for Premier League champions Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's side brought in Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsimikas during the summer, making for one of their busier transfer windows in the last couple of years.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.

Saturday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:

Premier League big six 'all interested in Sergio Ramos'

Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are all reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos.

The 34-year-old's existing deal at the Bernabeu is due to expire next June and as it stands he would be free to discuss terms with foreign clubs at the start of 2021.

Ramos is believed to want a two-year extension with Los Blancos, but it remains to be seen whether the Spanish champions are prepared to offer more than a 12-month deal.

According to 90min, the Premier League's big six clubs - Liverpool, City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham - have all contacted the Spaniard's representatives to express their interest.

The report claims that all six are considering the possibility of bringing him to England, but Ramos would have to signal that he wants to move to the Premier League.

The experienced defender has scored 100 goals in 660 appearances for Madrid, winning five La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns since arriving from Sevilla in 2005.

Arsenal 'missed out on Diogo Jota in 2016'

Arsenal reportedly failed with an approach for Diogo Jota before he became a success at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool.

After helping establish Wolves as a Premier League club, Jota was allowed to move to top-flight champions Liverpool during the summer transfer window.

However, The Athletic claims that the Portugal international may have taken a different path during the early stages of his career.

The report says that Arsenal and West Ham United both showed strong interest in the then-teenager before he opted to move to Atletico Madrid in 2016.

Rather than making an impression in Spain, it was a successful loan period at Porto which earned the playmaker a transfer to Wolves the following year.

The 23-year-old has opened his career at Anfield with seven goals from 11 appearances in all competitions.
