Aston Villa fell to their heaviest home defeat in 81 years as Liverpool ran out 6-0 winners at Villa Park.
Daniel Sturridge and James Milner found the net in the first half, before Emre Can, Divock Origi, Nathaniel Clyne and Kolo Toure all added to the scoring after the break.
The hosts did come close to pulling one back late on when Scott Sinclair saw his shot come back off the crossbar, but this was to be a real day to forget for the division's bottom side.

Remi Garde: "If we are playing the same game against Liverpool [as against Norwich], we will have no chance to have points. My job is to say 'well done lads for the victory and three points but the football we played won't be enough to take points from the Liverpool game. We won the Norwich game but not in the best way we could have done it. I was not completely happy with the game we played."
Jurgen Klopp: "It is the first time I've had [fit strikers to choose from] - usually anyone who could walk or stand up in a morning played! Now we have the situation where hopefully we have to make some decisions. Daniel Sturridge feels good. We have to think about how we can manage the minutes but he made a big step in the last week and that is good."
