How Leicester City could line up for their first game back

Sports Mole looks at how Leicester City could line up for their first match back after lockdown, when they are expected to face Watford at Vicarage Road.

Leicester City will return to action in the Premier League looking to retain their spot in the top four of the standings.

Despite only winning one of their last five fixtures, the Foxes still hold an eight-point advantage over fifth-placed Manchester United.

However, with games scheduled to come thick and fast over the next two months, Brendan Rodgers will have to take frequent rotation into consideration when selecting his first XIs.

With that in mind, Sports Mole predicts how Leicester may line up in the first game back, likely to be against Watford at Vicarage Road on June 20.

For the game against Aston Villa on March 9, Rodgers made several changes to his team as several of his key men nursed some kind of fitness issue.

However, aside from the absence of Ricardo Pereira, who is likely to miss the rest of the campaign with a knee injury, the East Midlands side should be at full-strength against the Hornets.

That would almost certainty see Jamie Vardy, with 19 Premier League goals to his name, restored to the starting lineup in place of Kelechi Iheanacho.

Ben Chilwell was not part of the most recent 18-man squad, but the England international should take his place at left-back.

That would allow James Justin, who featured in that role against the club's Midlands rivals, to switch to the opposite flank to replace Pereira.

Youri Tielemans will hope to get the nod over Dennis Praet in the middle of the pitch, while Rodgers has a decision to make over who plays on the right wing.

Although Marc Albrighton starred against his former club, it would come as a surprise if Ayoze Perez does not earn a recall.
