Claude Puel says that he expects Leicester City to face a Burnley side full of confidence this weekend following a "fantastic" run of form.

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has admitted that he is expecting a "big challenge" this weekend when high-flying Burnley visit the King Power Stadium.

The Clarets head to the East Midlands in impressive form, having won four of their last five Premier League games to climb into sixth place.

While Puel remains wary of the task at hand for Leicester, the Frenchman acknowledges that his own side are on a high of their own after beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 last time out.

Asked about the goals from Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez in that one, Puel told reporters: "A goal is always beautiful, but the two last goals against Tottenham were amazing. The first goal was very interesting. When we watched this goal at the beginning of the move, there was good quality.

"But we must be careful [against Burnley]. I think the table doesn't lie, they are sixth in the table. It is fantastic season for them, they have confidence and they are a strong team.

"They are not just physical, they try to play good football. It is a big challenge for us. Every game is difficult in the Premier League. It is important to continue our work. The game against Tottenham was promising for the future, but it is just one game."

Leicester have claimed eight points from Puel's first five games in charge - winning two, drawing two and losing one.
