Leeds travel to struggling Reading on Tuesday night.

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is staying focused on the job in hand ahead of a potentially pivotal week in their promotion bid.

United will go top of the Championship if they beat Reading on Tuesday night, while they face a huge clash with promotion rivals Sheffield United on Saturday.

However, Bielsa is looking no further than the trip to the Madejski Stadium.

"I am focused on winning that game and I don't take into account the possible consequences of a win," said the Argentinian at his pre-match press conference.

"Our first goal is to win the game, then we will occupy the position the results allow us.

"The points from tomorrow's game are very important for us and you never start playing a game before finishing the previous one.

"When you look ahead for the next game you never have positive consequences."

Striker Patrick Bamford is fit, despite going off injured after scoring the winner at Bristol City on Saturday.

Reading lie a lowly 19th, but head into the clash buoyed by a dramatic last-gasp 3-2 win over Wigan.

"The potential of the team is higher than the position they have in the table," added Bielsa.

"The offensive players are fast, the midfielders are good, they have a strong physical defence and they use the ball well."

Sheffield United, who ended the weekend in third place, host Brentford on Tuesday night.

Chris Wilder's side beat Rotherham 2-0 at the weekend, with defender Jack O'Connell scoring the opening goal.

"I don't score too many these days, so when they come round I'm delighted, but it was more important we got the three points and the clean sheet as well," O'Connell told the Blades' website.

"The focus now switches to Brentford, where we are looking for another three points and clean sheet.

"The gaffer drills into us about defensive shape and defending from the front. Everyone is expected to put a shift in and we're getting our rewards now."

Elsewhere, Blackburn host Wigan, Sheffield Wednesday travel to Bolton and Bristol City entertain rock-bottom Ipswich.
