A report claims that Lazio are hoping to replace Miroslav Klose with his fellow German Lukas Podolski in the summer.

Lazio have reportedly already lined up a replacement for Miroslav Klose.

The 37-year-old striker is expected to leave the Stadio Olimpico in the summer when his contract expires.

When the time comes to fill the void left by the veteran, Corriere della Sera claims that his fellow German Lukas Podolski is the club's number one choice.

The report adds that Galatasaray are open to the prospect of selling the frontman as they bid to ease their financial problems.

Podolski, 30, only arrived in Istanbul last summer on a free transfer from Arsenal.
