The Serie A leaders suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat to Young Boys in midweek.

Federico Bernardeschi has warned Torino that Juventus are ready to bounce back from their surprise Champions League defeat in Saturday’s derby.

Two goals from striker Guillaume Hoarau led Swiss side Young Boys to a shock 2-1 win over Juventus on Wednesday, although the Italian champions still topped their group to qualify.

Juve, who have claimed 43 from a possible 45 points in Serie A this season, will now be looking to get back to winning ways at their Turin rivals and cement their place at the top of table.

“Unfortunately the game against Young Boys did not go as we hoped, but we were fortunate enough to remain in first place in the group,” winger Bernardeschi told the club website.

“It’s never nice to lose and we spoke amongst ourselves, telling each other that we can’t afford these kinds of slip-ups in certain games.

“We are aware of our mistakes, and the Turin derby already gives us a chance to redeem ourselves and that is what we want. It is always a special game and there’s a good atmosphere in the city, it’s a sign of the respect.”

Juve are already eight points clear at the summit but Bernardeschi added: “There is still a long way to go in the league.

“There are a lot of teams that don’t give up and we’ll have to carry our good form to stay in first place whilst maintaining the advantage that we have.”

A point at AC Milan last week lifted Torino up to sixth place, and they have lost just once in their last 10 Serie A games while recording five clean sheets in their opening 15 matches.

Defender Armando Izzo told the Torino Channel: “It was a good point, getting a result at San Siro against Milan is never easy.

“If we can have a regret it is we could not manage to capitalise on some opportunities, but the draw is a good result and the performance must give us great self-esteem. “
