How Inter Milan could line up against AC Milan

Ahead of Sunday's Serie A encounter between Inter Milan and AC Milan, Sports Mole looks at how Antonio Conte's side could line up at San Siro.

Inter Milan head into their derby showdown with AC Milan on Sunday evening eager to remain within touching distance of Serie A leaders Juventus.

After picking up just one victory from four attempts, Inter now sit three points adrift of the defending champions, who play a day earlier this weekend.

Head coach Antonio Conte is also having to contend with a number of selection issues, which include injuries and suspensions to key men.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Inter could line up for the meeting with their rivals at San Siro.

Out: Stefano Sensi (calf), Borja Valero (muscular), Samir Handanovic (hand), Lautaro Martinez (suspension), Alessandro Bastoni (suspension)
Doubtful: Roberto Gagliardini (foot)

As a result of Lautaro Martinez serving a suspension, Alexis Sanchez is expected to be named alongside Romelu Lukaku in a two-man attack.

Despite having only featured for 58 minutes on his first league start, January arrival Christian Eriksen is likely to play in a midfield three.

With Antonio Candreva available, Conte faces a straight choice between Victor Moses and Ashley Young at left wing-back, with the latter favourite to get the nod.

Goalkeeper Samir Handanovic is still carrying a hand injury, meaning that Daniele Padelli should deputise for the first-choice stopper.

Stefano Sensi is still struggling with a calf problem, but Roberto Gagliardini may be deemed fit enough to take a place on the substitutes' bench.
