UEFA issue Hibernian manager Neil Lennon with a five-match ban for his conduct in a Europa League qualifying match against Brondby.

UEFA has issued a five-match suspension to Hibernian manager Neil Lennon following his conduct during a Europa League qualifying match against Brondby.

The 45-year-old was already suspended for the return leg after being sent to the stands for complaining against a disallowed goal for Jason Cummings during the game in Denmark on July 21.

Lennon later revealed that he wanted to appeal the one-match ban, describing it as "nonsense", but he now faces a lengthier spell away from the touchline.

Today, UEFA announced that a five-match suspension was sufficient due to Lennon's "acts of violence against the referee" during the match.
